· Explain why additional studies on cardiovascular impact are required for new diabetic medications.
· Discuss results of various cardiovascular-outcome trials findings.
· Illustrate the impact cardiovascular trials have had on the American Diabetes Association Guidelines focusing on updates made based on study results.
