COMP15 LTC: Preventing Bloodborne Infections in Long-Term Care: Engineering Controls and Workplace Practice
Nurses and other healthcare providers are at risk for contact with blood contaminated with dangerous bloodborne pathogens. Because there is no way to know who is infected, strategies must be learned to prevent the transmission of these pathogens. This lesson describes engineering controls and work practices that have been developed to help prevent transmission of bloodborne infections.
